McVities Marmalade on Toast Digestives

It’s certainly divided opinion and it’s not surprising really given these aren’t your conventional biscuit flavours. Yes I am talking about the new Digestive biscuits. McVities have given us not one, but THREE new flavours. There’s McVities Marmalade on Toast Digestives, Cherry Bakewell which I reviewed last week (here), and Strawberries and Cream. So far they are exclusive to Morrisons and have been a bit tricky for people to track down all three flavours. I had similar issues and only managed to find two out of the three. As expected they aren’t on any offer and were £1.50 per pack.…

Nature Valley Peanut Chocolate Cups

It has been far too long since we had a peanut butter review. However no credit can be taken for these Nature Valley Peanut Chocolate Cups because this was a little gift, amongst other goodies, from a little Cupcake Snack Warrior!  I have spied these in the supermarkets and are part of Nature Valley’s Nut Butter range. Whether these are more for a snack or brekkie alternative, who knows, either way these are described as follows.  Crunchy biscuit cups with wholegrain oats and chocolate pieces, a chocolate flavoured base, peanut butter flavoured filling and peanut pieces.  Each box comes with…

McVitie’s Digestives Twists Chocolate Chip and Caramels Bits

New biscuit alert! Yes the all rounder Digestive Biscuit has had a bit of a sprucing. McVitie’s has launched a new range of Digestive biscuits in two new flavours. The McVitie’s Digestives Twists Chocolate Chip and Caramels Bits and Chocolate and Coconut.  They launched in Asda a few month’s ago, however have only just seen them filter to Tesco, which is where I picked these up. Each pack is £1.25 however you will no doubt be able to find them on offer in one of the supermarkets.   Apparently these new flavours are to entice  youngsters. They aren’t wrong in the…

Tesco Rhubarb and Custard Creams

If you haven’t seen the Tesco Rhubarb and Custard Creams where have you been? These sneaked on the shelves with no warning, but give a glimpse of summer flavours to come.  My mum is a self proclaimed Custard Cream Queen. What gives her this title? She eats an abundance every week and has pretty much worked her way around the Custard Cream scene in search of the tip top cream. Which FYI she has voted Tesco as the top dog here.  It was a priority mission that these were obtained asap and we picked these up a few weeks ago…

Limited Edition Strawberry Jaffa Cakes

The Strawberry Jaffa Cakes are back. Yes they first made their appearance a year or so ago and have come back around. Why I am not too sure. Perhaps it is down to summer fast approaching and these certainly seem like more of a summer flavour.  I am quite traditional when it comes to Jaffa Cakes and I don’t think I tried the Strawberry version first time around. That being said I thought heck why not give them ago. After all strawberry and chocolate is a grand combination.  Keeping the soft cake base and dark chocolate topping, instead of a…
