It has been far too long since we had a peanut butter review. However no credit can be taken for these Nature Valley Peanut Chocolate Cups because this was a little gift, amongst other goodies, from a little Cupcake Snack Warrior!
I have spied these in the supermarkets and are part of Nature Valley’s Nut Butter range. Whether these are more for a snack or brekkie alternative, who knows, either way these are described as follows.
Crunchy biscuit cups with wholegrain oats and chocolate pieces, a chocolate flavoured base, peanut butter flavoured filling and peanut pieces.
Each box comes with 4 packets filled with two Nut Butter Cups. Coming in at £2.90 a box, these are on the pricey side.
Per Pack: 175 kcal, 4.1g sat fat, 8.6g sugars, 2.9g protein
These were far chunkier and bigger than I thought they would be. The peanut butter layer was generous and the sprinkling of peanut on top added to the already yummy peanut butter flavour. I love granola so I’m pleased they went for this with these cups. Surprisingly it held well and didn’t just disintegrate when you’ve had a bite, because that really would have been disappointing. The chocolate is a good pairing and is not something I would change as such, however the quality is naff. I get that flavoured things are cost effective, however when it comes to chocolate the flavoured stuff isn’t going to cut it
Well these Nature Valley Peanut Chocolate Cups faired better than expected. Aside from the chocolate these are something I would happily have again, albeit only when they’re on offer!
