Eating Out at Piccolino Virginia Water

Located on London Road, Virginia Water, behind the walls of the very plain white looking Piccolino building is a restaurant that boasts an open kitchen, wine and cocktail bar and a substantial alfresco terrace. Having never eaten there it was a real treat to go for lunch for none other than my birthday. We sat in the alfresco terrance which features a fully retractable roof and heaters to ensure the ultimate alfresco experience rain or shine. The shade of Liz Earle blue the chairs were more like a comfortable sofa, there’s no surprise you could spend hours there. Menus galore there…

Afternoon Tea at Vertigo 42

As restrictions are being relaxed I wanted to share my little afternoon tea trip that I took back in February, which feels a lifetime ago! Despite my love of afternoon tea I’ve never had one in London. However that changed after the lovely team I work with surprised me with Afternoon Tea at Vertigo 42. Uncovering the Hidden Gems and Things to Do in Covent Garden *

Covent Garden is one of the hot-spots in London, and is certainly on a tourists must see list. On a cold Thursday, just after the Christmas Lights had been unveiled, I headed to the big smoke to see what I could find. Amongst the theatres, museums, independent pubs,…

Giggling Squid Farnham Thai Restaurant & Tapas *

This is the first time I have ever been to Giggling Squid*. I haven’t heard too much from others about this Thai Restaurant and Tapas but it must be popular as there are 25+ restaurants and there wasn’t any let up on the number of people coming through the doors. Nestled in Castle Street, walking into the Giggling Squid Farnham was like being welcomed with open arms.  Spacious and architecturally beautiful, this building has character. Anyone who knows Farnham knows the buildings have history behind them. Eating out is one of my favourite things to do and what better way to kick start the…

The Chilli Pickle Guildford

I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch night of The Chilli Pickle in Guildford. On the streets of the upper high street of Guildford you certainly cannot miss this vibrantly coloured Indian restaurant and it has the interior to match. The opening of Indian restaurants aren’t exactly regular occurrences so I was pretty ecstatic to see that the newly refurbished restaurant wasn’t just going to be another cuisine that we already have.  So who are The Chilli Pickle? Well the very first was opened in Brighton with the aim to offer an authentic and accessible Indian dining…
