Eating Out at Honest Burger – Reading

It has been a while since we have done a restaurant review so whilst on an evening out in Reading we decided to visit Honest Burger. This British burger restaurant first opened its doors in Brixton in 2011 and have expanded to Brighton, Bristol, Reading, and all over London. They promise to make everything they can and source as much of their ingredients locally. The menu is refined to a handful of items per category and you can choose from either beef, chicken, vegetarian or vegan. Eating Out at Piccolino Virginia Water

Located on London Road, Virginia Water, behind the walls of the very plain white looking Piccolino building is a restaurant that boasts an open kitchen, wine and cocktail bar and a substantial alfresco terrace. Having never eaten there it was a real treat to go for lunch for none other than my birthday. We sat in the alfresco terrance which features a fully retractable roof and heaters to ensure the ultimate alfresco experience rain or shine. Afternoon Tea at Vertigo 42

As restrictions are being relaxed I wanted to share my little afternoon tea trip that I took back in February, which feels a lifetime ago! A train, a couple of tubes and a short walk and you arrive at quite the…

What makes ruby chocolate so special? A number of years ago cocoa experts discovered components of certain cocoa beans could produce a chocolate with an exceptional flavour and colour. Above all this…

Giggling Squid Farnham Thai Restaurant & Tapas *

This is the first time I have ever been to Giggling Squid*. I haven’t heard too much from others about this Thai Restaurant and Tapas but it must be popular as there are 25+ restaurants and there wasn’t any let up on the number of people coming through the doors. Nestled in Castle Street, walking into the Giggling Squid Farnham was like being welcomed with open arms.  Spacious and architecturally beautiful, this building has character. Anyone who knows Farnham knows the buildings have history behind them. Eating out is one of my favourite things to do and what better way to kick start the…
