In dire need of some food before seeing Joel Dommett, we were in search of somewhere to eat in Reading town centre when we stumbled across the 7Bone Burger Co. I don’t know if it is because I look at food most days on the net but I keep seeing their juicy looking burgers all over Facebook and Instagram and therefore there was no hesitation in giving this a go.  With their minimalist almost warehouse feel the decor appears unfinished but is almost like you have gone to this secret little underground place for a naughty foodie feast. Let’s face it most things revolve around food, well it certainly does for me, and I love going out to eat. I do find that there isn’t much variety when it comes to restaurants and wherever you go there are the same cluster of eateries. I am very much up for trying new places and was lucky enough to be invited by Jamie’s Italian to give their menu at their Guildford branch a try. I’ve never adventured to a Jamie’s Italian before, mostly because I have heard mixed reviews but also it’s not one of those restaurants I immediately think about…

Pinch of This certainly caught my eye at the Sandown Food Festival and is not a company I have come across before. So who are they? Well Mark & Lucieanne are from Surbiton and are offering us exceptionally delicious gluten free treats in the form of brownies, flapjacks, cookies, cupcakes, quiches and French macarons, that taste as good as regular baked goods.  Gluten free gets a bit of a bad rep for producing brick like, heavy foods and usually pretty obvious that it is gluten free. However the ethos of Pinch of This is if it tastes gluten free then it…

I have been on the edge of my seat to try Ed’s Easy Diner Reese’s Milkshake ever since I got the email informing me of their new arrival. Now this isn’t by any means a new innovation, you may remember me reviewing Byron’s  Reese’s Milkshake which was one hell of a milkshake that I still dream about. But can Ed’s trump Byrons, that is the question.  Lucky for me Ed’s Diner is pretty close to me so it wasn’t too much of a trek to go and get. I…

Is it just me or is there a lack of decent pubs around nowadays? Everywhere is filled with chained restaurants with most just churning out lack lustre food with no heart and soul and charging an arm and a leg for it. We as a family have been on the lookout for a new place to eat and have heard some great things about The Onslow Arms in Clandon and decided on a whim that Friday night was the night to give it a go.  The pub itself has heaps of character with traditional features, exposed beams and a huge fireplace. From…
