Hippeas Salt and Vinegar Vibes

Hippeas Salt and Vinegar Vibes

So I thought I would try and balance things up this time around and to help keep us on an even keel today we have the new Hippeas Salt and Vinegar Vibes* snacks. The Hippeas Cheese Power have been a firm favourite since I tried them last year, however with salt and vinegar being my favourite of flavours we could have a contender on our hands.

The lovely Hippeas Team sent some peas and love in the brightest of boxes and inside was a snazzy shopping bag and these new snacks. I confess I have had these sitting waiting for me to eat but the house has been utter chaos and I have had nowhere to really move around what with all the boxes, let alone take any pictures.

If you aren’t familiar with Hippeas then here is the low down. These organic chickpea puffs are high in fibre, a good source of protein and have no added nasties or preservatives. And if that isn’t enough any of you lovely readers who are gluten free or vegan, rejoice because you too can chow down one these.

Pale appearances aside, which is expected when there are no nasties or preservatives, these curled puffs were crunchy and crisp. Hippeas have certainly nailed the flavour with their tangy and sharp vinegar paired with the salt the only hiccup is the flavour was varying. Some puffs were pretty plain jane whilst others had a really moresih hit of flavour.

I can’t say I didn’t enjoy these Hippeas Salt and Vinegar puffs because I did, however the consistency of flavour did let them down. It is great to see Hippeas are expanding their range and I’m intrigued to see where they go next. For now it’s safe to say Cheese Power still has the crown.

*A huge thank to Hippeas for sending me these to try. All opinions are my own.

I bought a packet of Hippeas last year and I thought they tasted awful but I can’t remember what flavour I got so I think I’m going to have to try out the cheese ones! I don’t mind salt and vinegar as a flavour but I think if they were a bit hit and miss I probably wouldn’t enjoy them at all!xx

You are right you won’t enjoy the Salt and Vinegar ones. Cheese are a good solid flavour they are definitely a fave, I liken them to a wholemeal version of a Wotsit hahaha. Don’t get me wrong though out of a choice I would choose classic crisps every time xx
