Today’s review is case and point that our chocolate is boring. America has snazzy chocolate, as does Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, you get my point. Cadbury Dairy Milk Tropical Pineapple is one of New Zealand’s exciting flavours and one that is either going to be delicious or one step too far.
I bought this king size 200g bar from Sanza for £5.45. Despite being over a fiver I really did not think that was half bad for an import and a such a big bar. According to the inter web tropical has been around before and has since made a comeback for a limited time only and people are jumping for joy.
Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate with a flowing tropical pineapple flavoured centre. Per 100g: 480 kcal, 13.3g sat fat, 60.6g sugar, 5.3g protein.
Look at that glorious vibrant yellow inner. The pineapple flavouring was incased within the dome shaped squares and was fresh, zingy and oh so pineappley. The milk chocolate was thick, silky and coated the inside of one’s mouth as it melted giving that indulgent feeling. The chocolate seemed far more flavoursome and creamier than our UK version, which once again goes to show ours is naff. As a whole this is a very sweet bar which you would not want a lot of but on the flip side, it would certainly satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.
I was dubious about how this Cadbury Dairy Milk Tropical Pineapple would fair but it was surprisingly delicious. Cadbury have balanced both the pineapple and chocolate well to create one intriguing bar that any pineapple lover needs to try. Cadbury UK I have said it before and I shall say it again, get on the imagination train and give us some jazzier flavours.

You should try our Whittakers Chocolate. Us New Zealanders much prefer the taste and quality. With our Cadbury Factory closing soon to be produced overseas, I can easily see Cadbury being even less of a favourite here.
