Snyder’s of Hanover Salted Caramel Pretzel Pieces

I first came across Snyder’s of Hanover when I reviewed their very delicious Peanut Butter Pretzel Sandwiches. Ever since then it would appear that there has been a Snyder’s of Hanover explosion because everywhere I go I keep finding them, maybe it’s a sign so not one to deny such things I opted for these Snyder’s of Hanover Salted Caramel Pretzel Pieces. 

Mixing the sweet with the savoury, Snyder’s have taken the humble savoury sourdough pretzel pieces and flavoured them with buttery salted caramel and packaged them in a handy handbag size.

Opening the bag there was the most deliciously sweet caramel smell. There were a few chunky pieces but most of it looked like it had been crunched beyond belief. The pretzels were super crunchy, not so crunchy you may break a tooth, but just enough to give you a good old chew. The weren’t sticky at all but the flavour of the caramel was strong, sweet, rich and moreish, like unbelievably moreish. The caramel flavoured lingered when I realised where was my salty punch hiding?. That’s right not a peep of salt. I thought the white flecks were salt but alas it would appear these were just another sugary coating, because added sweetness was really what was needed ……  

Although this is another case of an all caramel and no salt situation, Snyder’s of Hanover Salted Caramel Pretzels are still bloomin delicious. Given Snyder’s of Hanover seems readily available if you see a bag pick on up, you won’t be disappointed, just don’t expect there to be any salt.
