I heart Christmas. I get excited about it pretty early on and I love nothing more than perusing all things christmassy, putting up the tree, wrapping and giving presents, and of course consuming all the food. Christmas is fast approaching, the catalogues are here and the ideas are flowing of what to get people. There is so much out there, today’s post is a little gift guide on a few food and drink goodies that have caught my eye.
Joe & Sephs Popcorn Tube, Hotel Chocolat Gingerbread Spread, Biscuiteers The Snowman & The Snow Dog Biscuit Tin, Marvling Bros Dinner in a Matchbox.
Joe & Sephs have nailed it for popcorn lovers. With a choice of nine flavours there is sure enough one flavour that everyone will enjoy. Never usually one for flavoured spreads I for one am majorly excited for this Hotel Chocolate Gingerbread Spread. 50% milk chocolate, hazelnuts, pecans, cinnamon, nutmeg and gingerbread spice, it is literally christmas in a pot.
Where would we be without The Snowman? The clever people at Biscuiteers have recreated this iconic christmas film and given us biscuits almost too amazing to eat. A Christmas Dinner in sweet form! I am not sure if this is more curiosity or foolishness, but it is like something straight out of Willy Wonka’s factory, and I cannot help but want to try it.
Gin Tales Christmas Pudding Gin, Tipsy Wight Twelve Days of Christmas, Unicorn Tears Gin, Blue Bird Tea Co Christmas Hamper.
I love flavoured spirits, they are pretty much all a base for wonderfully imaginative flavours and this Christmas Pudding Gin is bang on the tipple to have this festive period. Taking advent calendars to a new level, Tipsy Wight have given us the Twelve Days of Christmas in vodka form. From the delicate elderflower to rhubarb & vanilla and crabapple, it sure makes for 12 exciting days of christmas.
Unicorn-esque presents are still going strong so why not have unicorn gin. With shimmering edible silver flakes it’s almost to good to drink. For the tea lovers out there the Blue Bird Tea Co hamper is a gem and a half. I am not usually one for flavoured teas but with Christmas Cake, Snowball, Mulled Cider and Hey, Sugar Plum this has certainly got me yearning for one of their festive numbers.
Hotel Chocolat Dasher the Reindeer, Prestat Red Velvet Truffles, Choccywoccy Snowman, Montezuma’s Peanut Butter Snowballs.
You cannot have Christmas without chocolate. Dashing through the snow, Hotel Chocolat have their usual array of cute chocolate figures and these are currently on a mix and match 3 or more for £6. Every year I wish for these Prestat Red Velvet Truffles. With a classic icing centre, covered in milk chocolate and a raspberry powder, these are the epitome of indulgent.
Choccywoccydoodah are the Queens of chocolate, their creations are fantastic and this little white chocolate snowman is ready to be devoured and sits in a reusable mould. I couldn’t do this little guide without something peanut buttery! Montezuma’s have hit us with some festive peanut butter snowballs, and if it is anything like their Mini Eggs at easter we are all in for a treat!
Do you have a favourite? What is on your Christmas wish list? I’d love to know!
