The Coconut Collaborative Little Lemon Temptations

The Coconut Collaborative Little Temptations Lemon

There’s a brand new dairy free dessert on the block and comes in the form of these fluorescent yellow packaged The Coconut Collaborative Little Lemon Temptations*. The Coconut Collaborative already has a jam packed repertoire spanning yoghurts, frozen goodies and dessert pots and yet I confess I haven’t had any of them.

These little Lemon Temptations join the dessert range and sit alongside the Mini Choc Pots and Rice Puddings. So what makes these pots worthy of your pennies? As well as being dairy, soya and gluten free, they’re suitable for vegans and they have squished the goodness and benefits from coconuts in there too. These are available from Ocado, Tesco and Sainsbury’s at £2.50 per 4 pack which in terms of a general dessert pot is above average, but for a free-from it is pretty on par.

Made from coconut cream and real lemon juice, the shelf life was far longer than I had expected. Frankly they are not going to be around long enough to come close to that date.

The Coconut Collaborative Little Lemon TemptationsPer pot: 125 kcal, 5.8g sat fat, 7.2g sugar, 0.7g protein.

Silky, creamy and oh so indulgent it airs on the side of lemon curd with an undertone of delicious fresh coconut. The lemon had the perfect balance of sharp and sweet and wasn’t as intense as I had expected, you know that suck your cheeks in tartness, which made these even more enjoyable. Those little air bubbles making an appearance on top were indicative of how light as a feather this dessert was going to be. The coconut and lemon together are a dream team and I love it. This is a great little tasting dessert.

Although the free-from range is certainly expanding there’s a gaping hole for delicious desserts that you wouldn’t bat an eyelid at the thought of it being free-from. The Coconut Collaborative however have certainly nailed it with these beauties. Lemony, creamy, indulgent and tempting, the only thing you will be left wanting is more from this tiddly pot.
