I wouldn’t blame you for doing a double take on today’s blog post because I certainly did in the shop. Strawberry Nut M&Ms are an actual thing! Any American’s or avid American chocolate lovers will know that M&M’s did chocolate covered strawberry M&M’s last year, however the difference here is they’ve thrown peanuts into the mix.
Now I understand Strawberry M&M’s because well strawberries and chocolate is just so YES, but plonking a big ol peanut in there is pretty intriguing.
I spied these in my trusty Garden Centre Longacres (where I also found Mint M&M’s) and they were instantly put in the basket. Costing £1.29 for a 92g sharing bag, it is pretty on par with what I expect from an American import.

Pretty as a picture and in case you haven’t noticed Mars have used the varying colours of a strawberry as the outer chocolate shell. These really shouldn’t work but they absolutely do. You have your general chunky peanut M&M and it tastes as you expect but throw in some sweet strawberry flavouring as an undercurrent and that is what we have here. There is room for more of a strawberry flavour yet would be a bit of a seesaw, too much and it would just be weird and not at all nice. As it is it does not lose sight of the peanut M&M which is still the hero, it just has a subtle strawberry tinge to it.
Now on the grand scheme of things this isn’t the most exciting of M&M’s however as we Brits are sheltered from the range they have on offer across the Pond, it is quite exciting to get something different than the handful we have here. I am not about to rush out and buy twenty packets or anything, but they were enjoyable and likeable. Certainly a must try and there will be no issues demolishing this packet.
What’s your favourite M&M flavour? What flavour would you like to see? I’m thinking something bananary!
Nibbles ‘n’ Scribbles x
Thanks for the review! I was actually going to pass on these. I’m getting a little burned out on all of the flavor variations. Not because I don’t like them. Its just so hard to keep up. And these seemed a little odd (would seem better without the peanut). But your review has piqued my curiosity once again! : ) time to get out and see if I can still find some!

Most welcome :). I agree if you have choices and new ones all the time it can get a bit *eye roll* but for us who rarely get any variations here unless you spy some American imports, I go a bit giddy when I see something new, haha. Let me know your thoughts on these peculiar ones.
I bought a pack of these a couple of weeks ago but I’ve not tried them yet – I wasn’t convinced but splashed out £2.50 anyway as I was too intrigued haha. Glad to know it works. I did have plain strawberry ones when I went to M&M’s World in New York last year, but the peanut really mixes things up, I think.

I’m interested to see what you make of them, I really wish we could get more flavours over in the UK. I bet they had some amazing sounding flavours over in New York
You held on to them for a few weeks before trying them? Wow, you have great will power! Curiosity and hunger would overtake me before I got home LOL! : )
Def mixing it up with the strawberry and peanut .
We actually had banana ones last year here in Australia – if we get them again I’d be very happy to send some your way .
X
I should of added the flag that just came out here is raspberry ( no peanut )

Oh wow banana ones in Australia, were they as delicious as I hope and desire? That’s very kind of you to offer 🙂 x
Ah, you lucky thing finding these so close to home! They sound interesting – I’d give ’em a go at least.
As for favourite flavours? I love a Mint M&M, though it’s gotta be said I’d have been very happy to try out the Halloween limited edition of Boo-tterscotch or the Christmas edition White Peppermint.

It’s like a cubbyhole of treasures, sometimes not so fruitful other times I want to buy everything! The mint ones are delish aren’t they, and the PB ones obviously haha.
