Crisps are a staple at Christmas, and at any good shindig for that matter. I do love a crisp, usually I am very particular with my salt and vinegar however Christmas brings out the adventurous side of me and I cannot pass up the opportunity for the turkey crisps. Airing on a little crazy M&S Christmas Turkey And Maple Syrup crisps have hit the shelves.
Made using specially selected British potatoes that are thinly sliced skin on and hand cooked in small patches, promises to give a delicious and crispy snack. There really is nothing worse than a limp crisp!
Turkey with smoked maple flavour potato crisps. Per 30g: 149 kcal, 0.8g sat fat, 1.2g sugar, 2.9g protein
These were certainly some chunky big crisps! Look at the size of them. Crisp and crunchy these had an air of smokey bacon to them which was suddenly met with an almighty sweetness from the maple. The turkey flavouring was a little herby and very much in the background getting lost within all that maple. I cannot fault the maple flavouring however having this as a crisp flavouring is a little too far.
These M&S Christmas Turkey And Maple Syrup Crisps will not be gracing my table at Christmas. The balance of turkey and maple syrup is skewed making for a very sweet and unpleasant crisp. As you would expect with M&S the quality is there but the taste is not.
Nibbles ‘n’ Scribbles x
I am still not sure what Maple has to do with Christmas.. Have I missed something? :/ xx
