There’s nothing better than biscuits with your tea (or coffee) and what’s great about the festive season, it has been biscuit selection boxes galore. Yes I am still teetering on the edge of the festive period and picked these Fox’s Winter Desserts Biscuits because they sound scrumptious.
Half price in Sainsbury’s this box of 16 biscuits was £2.50. Sadly there is only one tray so no getting excited that there is another layer hiding in there!
Fox’s have given us 4 dessert flavours Chocolate Brownie, Millionaire’s Shortbread, White Chocolate & Raspberry Cheesecake and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Each biscuit has a shortcake biscuit base filled with the flavoured cream and coated in chocolate with a chocolate drizzle.
If you are a chocoholic then you will have a hard job not demolishing these.
The layers are perfect and have great dunk-ability. The Chocolate Brownie is the most akin to the real deal and has a rich, dark brownie taste. It is impressive Fox’s have also managed to get a delicious raspberry flavour into that vibrant pink biscuit and paired with sweet white chocolate it is a winner. Sticky Toffee Pudding is the least enticing of them, still delicious but they feel like any other choccie biccie.
It’s a shame to only discover these Fox’s Winter Desserts Biscuits now, when they are going to be whisked off the shelves soon enough. So if you fancy them best get in there quick, or head over to Amazon* to stock up.
