Foodylicious and Belgian Boys Treats

Foodylicious and Begian Boys

For a number of years a duo by the name of Belgian Boys have been creating and sharing their love of authentic treats. I have come across Belgian Boys once before however was not aware that they had quite the array of Belgian treats to choose from. So many in fact that Foodylicious* have got not one, but two boxes dedicated to the Belgian Boys.

On the one hand you can choose the Waffle Box where you pick any combination of 7 waffle themed packets or choose the Cookie Stash box, aka a whole box filled with mini cookies shaped like moustaches.

The Belgian Boys use no GMO’s, artificial colours or preservatives or corn syrup and use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients they can find. I do love the packaging it is vibrant quirky and fun, and certainly catches your eye. Of their 10+ products on offer, today we are diving into their Mini Cookie Stash*, Choco Stroopwafel* and De Liege Wafel*.

Belgain Boys Mini Cookie StashMini Cookie Stash* Per pack: 136 kcal, 1.5g sat fat, 9g sugar, 1.6g protein

How cute are these? I was pretty impressed with the number of mini moustaches that were in the packet and made the perfect number for a little snack. Little morsels of deliciousness is exactly what they were. Cookie butter itself is a glorious thing and frankly these just had to be also. Tastes exactly like cookie spread, sweet, sugary, and ever so moreish.

Belgian Boys Choco StroopwafleAuthentic Dutch Chocolate Caramel Waffle* Per Choco Stroopwafel: 210 kcal, 5.8g sat fat, 18g sugar, 2g protein

I can’t say I have ever had a Stroopwafel so whether this is actually authentic is beyond me. What I do know is that this was a tad odd. The base was a very short dry biscuit which was topped with some sticky, chewy buttery caramel, and bringing these two elements together was some less than desirable milk chocolate. The caramel was certainly the best part and overall this just didn’t work for me.

Belgian Boys De Liege WafleAuthentic Sweet Belgian Waffle with Pearl Sugar* Per Waffle: 249 kcal, 6.8g sat fat, 13.3g sugar, 3.5g protein

Waffles I love em. Simple yet delicious I was excited for this bright pink packaged wonder. First and foremost heating this up makes the world of difference and transforms this from a dry and slightly hard waffle to the perfect light, warm and slightly doughy waffle. Looks like a waffle, tastes like a waffle, it’s a darn good waffle from a packet.

For snacking on, the Belgian Boys Mini Cookie Stash are an absolute gem and would be my top pick. Cute and quirky I challenge you not to want to want to do a selfie with that little tash!

If you fancy trying the Belgian Boys you can order a Foodylicious box online here. Keep your eyes on the blog for more Foodylicious goodies.
