Christmas: M&S Gingerbread Teacakes

Last week saw the Battle of the Festive Sarnies and this week sees all things festive continue and it is only right we start with the first Christmas good I purchased. Yes, I have braved the new M&S Gingerbread Teacakes. Their Red Velvet and Dulce de Leche ones were less than desirable in taste and didn’t exactly do well on conveying what they were meant to be; so you can imagine my apprehension here with these Gingerbread Teacakes.  Now the reason I hop-footed it down to M&S when I heard these had hit the shelves was purely my love of gingerbread.…

M&S Gingerbread Teacakes

Gingerbread is not just for Christmas in my eyes however as the Winter months beckon closer gingerbread foods emerge and I start to go into a gingerbread frenzy. (For anyone who loved the Mr Kipling Gingerbread Whirls they are back and in store now huzzah!) Today’s review is on the air of savoury gingerbread with M&S Gingerbread Teacakes.  I am not sure if these were available last year but I am pretty sure I would have sniffed them out if it were the case. A pack of two generously sized teacakes were £1.00 which isn’t too shabby at all. I love both teacakes…

M&S Dulce de Leche Teacakes

The sun has been peeping out the clouds this week so it is only fair that we have a bit of the Spirit of Summer courtesy of the new M&S Dulce de Leche Teacakes. As previously mentioned M&S have gone a little crazy with dulce de leche this summer and shoved it anything and everything. I must say their Banana Dulce de Leche slices were a thing of beauty so I have high hopes for these Teacakes.  Their packaging is certainly snazzy and catching to the eye, and these definitely faired better in their travels than the Red Velvet Teacakes. These were…

Mcvitie’s Hobnob Teacakes

It’s all about the chocolate teacake today and not just any old teacake I will have you know but Mcvitie’s Hobnob Teacakes! Hobnobs in teacake form yes siry bob you read that correct. Mcvitie’s have bought out these new milk chocolate teacakes and I for one being a major Hobnob fan, am mighty excited.  For an introductory offer of £1.00 in Sainsbury’s that really isn’t bad for 8 chocolatey teacakes. Inside the packet we have the usual black tray saga with the teacakes plopped in each segment. What is a change is the outer packaging is a thicker plastic which benefits…

Marks & Spencer Red Velvet Teacakes

Teacakes are a thing of beauty. Biscuity base mallowy marshmallow all of which covered in chocolate, what is not to love? Then there is red velvet cake, which happens to be one of my favourite cakes in all the land. The very fact Marks and Spencer have merged the two together sent my excitement levels through the roof!  As per normal I searched high and low before I flew off to China to find these Red Velvet Teacakes, but alas they were nowhere to be found. Finally I came across these upon my return and at £1 they are simply…
