Monster Munchies: Cadbury Screme Egg Pots of Joy

We never have much selection when it comes to Halloween themed goodies, mainly it is the same old sweets in different wrappings that get churned out every year, or biscuits with a different filling and spooky packaging. Yesterday we saw Screme Egg Biscuits and today airs slightly on another variation with Cadbury Screme Egg Pots of Joy. Bit of an oxymoron with the name if you ask me but hey ho.  Strictly for the spooky holiday I picked these up in Asda for £1.00 for 4x70g pots. Made with melted Cadbury chocolate, well I sure as hell hope so, Cadbury assures us there’s nothing…

Monster Munchies: Cadbury Screme Egg Biscuits

Before Mondelez International decided to be plonkers and change the Creme Egg recipe, yes Mondelez we have noticed and we hate you for it, I used to love the Creme Egg biscuits and Creme Eggs for that matter. Since that change I didn’t bother buying any last year however as we are on a Halloween Monster Munchies mission today we have the limited edition Cadbury Screme Egg Biscuits. Will these be a trick or a treat?  I take no credit for these at it was the Daddio who spotted these in the local corner shop and bought them for me…

Waitrose Cherry Bakewell Scones

Put down your fruity, cheesey or plain scones because things have just got interesting. Waitrose Cherry Bakewell Scones have sneaked onto the shelves, almost as silent as the Heston’s Cherry Bakewell Hot Cross Buns they did back in Easter, but there is no hiding them from me.  The very fact the quintessentially British afternoon tea staple has been given a cherry bakewell make over is both daring yet genius. For those longstanding blog readers (you’re amazing thank you!) you will recall I raved about the Cherry Bakewell Hot Cross Buns and I am hoping these scones are on par.  For 4…

Krispy Kreme Vintage Cruller

Okay so we have already had the boring Krispy Kreme Glazed Kreme, the rather undercooked but delicious filling from the Powdered Blueberry and now we have the penultimate doughnut, which comes in the form of Krispy Kreme Vintage Cruller.  If you haven’t a clue what this doughnut is or in fact how to pronounce it, you are not alone. To save face I just asked the every so happy Krispy Kreme chap for ‘the new one’ and ta-da £1.75 later one Cruller was in the bag. This is certainly quite the eye candy for a doughnut. It doesn’t need all the fancy icing…

KitKat Chunky Cookie Dough

The elusive KitKat Chunky Cookie Dough has been found! I was seriously beginning to think it didn’t exist down in Surrey but it seems to have finally hit the shelves. This is the newest addition to the KitKat Chunky family and I am hoping this is as delicious as it sounds. Let’s face it there hasn’t been a good KitKat Chunky since the Peanut Butter so it is about time.   Nestle seem to have given it more thought this time round and pulled a more exciting flavour out the bag and certainly caught people’s attention. Free from all those nasty…
