M&S Peanut Butter Bar

Last week we had the Battle of the Whips and next up in my M&S Chocolate adventure is this Peanut Butter Bar*. Yes as part of my big box of goodies that I received you would be correct in thinking that I was excited to see the M&S Peanut Butter Bar was included. Yes the addiction lives on, and I am always open to trying pretty much anything peanut butter. 

This snack bar I believe costs around 75p and is the perfect size for a treat. With a mixture of milk and dark chocolate, caramel, crunchy peanut butter and roasted peanut pieces, the description alone suggests it is going to be packed with peanut butter flavour. So fingers crossed that it actually does. 

Milk and dark chocolate bar containing a layer of soft caramel (12%) and a crunchy centre with peanut butter (14%) and roasted peanut pieces (11%). 

Slicing this bar in half revealed 5 distinct layers. The double layer comprising of milk and dark chocolate makes for an interesting combination with the peanut butter centre, and it was a yes from me. The caramel running through the top of the bar brought further sweetness and chewiness to the bar, but really I could take it or leave it. The peanut butter flavour was not as strong as expected but still prominent and delicious and the crunchy peanut pieces were much needed and a welcome addition to what was thick and creamy chocolate bar. 

Yes this M&S Peanut Butter Bar is another delicious chocolate bar that they have added to their collection. What sets this apart from the predecessor of  ‘The Nutty One’ bar is the addition of the dark chocolate layer and more importantly it tastes more of peanut butter. Win win all around.
