Cadbury Flake Celebration Cake

The Cadbury Flake Celebration cake is back! I had its predecessor a few years ago and it was delicious and I certainly couldn’t believe that they discontinued it there after. Fear not though it’s back on the shelves and promises to be an even more delicious sponge. Given we had a birthday at the weekend it was only fitting that we give this new version a go, and plus I was buying the cake so it was my choice!  Chocolate sponge layered with chocolate flavour creme and a chocolate flavoured syrup, covered with milk chocolate and decorated with milk chocolate flake…

Ritter Sport Cornflakes

I first came across Ritter Sport with their Rum packed Rum & Raisin Bar and have been eagle eyed at what other bars they have to offer. Whilst whipping into Sainsbury’s the other week all of their Ritter Sport bars were a bargain price of 80p each and I decided to go in for the breakfast crunch and try Ritter Sport Cornflakes.  Airing on the side of breakfast, Ritter Sport have taken crunchy Cornflakes and enrobed them with milk chocolate to give us breakfast around the clock! The bar was made up of thick smallish chunks with Ritter Sport emblazoned on…

Asda Banoffee Bombs and Blue Yorkers

On a wee trip to Asda I spied some new fresh desserts on offer by Asda. Asda appear to have quite a range out that include Dessert Islands, Honey Teasers, Afternoon Tea and what today’s review is all about, Banoffee Bombs and Blue Yorkers. I am having a love affair for anything banana flavoured recently and was pretty excited to find these. Tucking in these were light as a feather. The first layer of mousse was smooth, airy and packed full of authentic…

Chocolate Peanut Butter Quest Bar

On the grapevine Quest Bars are the top dog when it comes to protein bars and taste rather delicious in comparison to it’s fellow competition. I have been struggling with the snacks on the 90 Day SSS Plan, really there’s only so many nuts a gal can eat and given fruit is a twice a week number, so I decided to give these Quest Bars a go.  There are so many flavours and after whittling it down I ordered 5 bars from Dolphin Fitness (FYI considerably cheaper here and you can buy singles), and they arrived pretty darn quickly. Given my…

Eating Out at The Onslow Arms

Is it just me or is there a lack of decent pubs around nowadays? Everywhere is filled with chained restaurants with most just churning out lack lustre food with no heart and soul and charging an arm and a leg for it. We as a family have been on the lookout for a new place to eat and have heard some great things about The Onslow Arms in Clandon and decided on a whim that Friday night was the night to give it a go.  The pub itself has heaps of character with traditional features, exposed beams and a huge fireplace. From…
