KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Fudge

KitKat Salted Caramel Fudge Chocolate

Sweet meets salty with the new KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Fudge. After the winner that was their New York Cheesecake (Review) and the Lemon Drizzle (Review) original KitKat, I cannot deny that I was excited to see the KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Fudge was going to be the latest addition to the family.

I am a little surprised that it has taken this long for salted caramel to make an appearance given the craze where we saw it in pretty much everything. For those of you wondering this chunky number is a combination of crispy wafer with a salted caramel fudge flavoured topping, covered in milk chocolate. Pretty standard set up. Currently these are available in Sainsbury’s, and if you get in quick they are on offer for 50p a pop.

KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel FudgePer Serving: 226 Kcal, 7.2g sat fat, 20.6g sugar, 3.7g protein

Peeling back the wrapper the smell of sweet fudgy chocolate escaped, making me just want to take a giant bite. Nestle have got the combination spot on here. It started off sweet with the chocolate and fudge flavouring mixing together, and just when you are wondering where the salt is, in it swoops. The fudge favouring has a bit of a darkness to it which, although still sweet it isn’t too overpowering. The crunchy wafer as ever provided some well needed texture to break apart this chunky beauty.

Although this isn’t the most innovative of flavours, it’s certainly executed perfectly, and is a real winner. I am 100% on board with this new KitKat and prepare yourself because it’s devilishly moreish, and I can’t wait to get my hands on another.

Have you given the new KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Fudge a try yet?
