Tesco Red Velvet Cake Slices

I have had a real hankering for red velvet recently and whilst on a rare visit to Tesco I spied these Tesco Red Velvet Cake Slices and immediately had to pop them in the basket.  Red velvet cake is not very prominent and I do question why, it really is one of my favourite cakes in all the land. Some have tried to convert red velvet into other products like the dismal Fox’s Red Velvet Crunch Creams and the less than impressive M&S Red Velvet Tea Cakes so taking it back to its natural form, let’s see if Tesco can get it right.…

The Grown Up Chocolate Company Lovely Fruity Nutty Crunchy

The first I had heard of The Grown Up Chocolate Company was when the super-dooper, lovely bubbly Cupcake Snack Warrior over at Reaching for Refreshment sent me one within a stash of goodies. These bars are not for little monsters and luckily I don’t come under that category! So what do I have here? The Grown Up Chocolate Company Lovely Fruity Nutty Crunchy Bar* is what I have. I challenge someone to say that 10 times over! First off I am a big fan for UK made products, and I am pleased too see these bars are ‘handmade with love…

Krispy Kreme Cheesecake Doughnuts

Cheesecake + Doughnut = a Cheesecake Doughnut. Krispy Kreme have taken charge and merged the two, and hey presto we have Salted Caramel Cheesecake and Luscious Lemon Cheesecake. I half expected the Salted Caramel version, given salted caramel is absolutely everywhere, but the Lemon is a fab alternative.  Whilst out and about today I had a hankering for a doughnut! You can’t buy 2, they look far too lonely in the box, so 3 it is – thank you Krispy Kreme free doughnut every month for a year card!  Filled with salted caramel and vanilla cheesecake, topped with cheesecake icing, crunchy biscuits,…

Sainsbury’s Salted Peanut and Caramel Ice Cream

The weather is hotting up which means hello ice cream. Previously I reviewed Ben & Jerry’s Utter Peanut Butter Cookie Core which I loved, but am keen to try a Supermarket own one; insert Sainsbury’s Salted Peanut and Caramel Ice Cream.  Jazzy flavour combinations are now a firm part of Supermarket own brand ranges, but can they match or beat the big guns like Ben & Jerry’s or Haagen-Daz? Sainsbury’s Salted Peanut and Caramel ice cream sits alongside their Chocolate Brownie, Cookie Dough and Toffee Honeycomb tubs, but what attracted me to try this? Peanut Butter of course! It’s great to see that…

Cadbury Dairy Milk Chips Ahoy!

Cadbury Dairy Milk is my absolute fave! It trumps Galaxy hands down (I know, I know cue the uproar), if you disagree I am happy to take your Dairy Milk off your hands! Cadbury fusions have been popping up quite a lot; we have had Oreo, Strawberries and Creme, Daim, Ritz, Crunchie, the list goes on. More recently Chips Ahoy! cookies are the latest to be squeezed into the deliciously creamy Cadbury milk chocolate, but do two delicious products make one super product?  A bold choice by Cadbury considering unlike the Oreo, Chips Ahoy! is largely unknown, or at least…
