Soreen Malt & Fruit Loaves

I have a confession to make. I have never tried Soreen. I feel it is a right of passage that you have to have had this malty fruity loaf however it’s just not something I have ever got round to having. I think Soreen’s spidey senses were tingling because the lovely people at Soreen kindly sent me all of their various Fruit Loaves to try. Now why did I agree to give these a whirl? Well I must say other than sure curiosity and the love of an afternoon treat, it boiled down to the Banana loaf! Banana flavoured things are so…

Hershey’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate

Happy International Chocolate Day! Could this possibly be one of the greatest foodie days of the year, for chocoholics I suspect so. Today’s review is in homage of said international day and is the form of Hershey’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate. Now this Reese’s bar is from abroad and was part of a delightful foodie gift haul. For whatever reason the packaging is missing the ‘s whereas stamped on the top of the chocolate it includes the ‘s. Slightly strange. I have seen this bar form floating about but had yet to experience it in all it’s chunky glory. This is quite…

M&S Gingerbread Teacakes

Gingerbread is not just for Christmas in my eyes however as the Winter months beckon closer gingerbread foods emerge and I start to go into a gingerbread frenzy. (For anyone who loved the Mr Kipling Gingerbread Whirls they are back and in store now huzzah!) Today’s review is on the air of savoury gingerbread with M&S Gingerbread Teacakes.  I am not sure if these were available last year but I am pretty sure I would have sniffed them out if it were the case. A pack of two generously sized teacakes were £1.00 which isn’t too shabby at all. I love both teacakes…

M&S Ultimate Five Grain Crumpets

Ever since I was introduced to the M&S Ultimate Crumpet I have been hooked on those fluffy sourdough beauties. Not content on just having a plain crumpet they have now gone one step further and given us new M&S Ultimate Five Grain Crumpets.  I picked these up for a bargain price of 95p for 6 sizeable crumpets. These were slightly darker in comparison to their predecessor which I assume is due to the addition of wholemeal flour.  Made with wholemeal flour and high in fibre.  To cook these pop them in the toaster, toast on a medium heat for 1-2 minutes and hey presto crumpet perfection.…

Walkers & Heinz Sandwich Crisps

Finally I have found the new Walkers & Heinz Sandwich Crisps. The two have teamed up together and become a power couple to give us some of our favourite sarnie combinations in crisp form. There are 6 varieties on offer – Cheese Toastie & Worcester Sauce, Sausage & Brown Sauce, Bacon & Tomato Ketchup, Ham & Mustard, Roast Chicken & Mayonnaise and Cheese, Cucumber & Salad Cream.  I’ll be honest the one I was most excited about was the Cheese Toastie, the others are neither here nor there and the Salad Cream, well that is just plain wrong. I got my mitts on 3 flavours in…
