Christmas: Sainsbury’s Cocktail Baubles

Happy Christmas Eve Everyone, Santa is coming!!! There is no better way to celebrate than with a festive tipple and Sainsbury’s Cocktail Baubles have it covered.  These 3 colourful baubles cost a jolly good £5.00 and were part of the gifting range. Despite their cuteness the primary reason I bought them was because it included a Cosmo. Cosmos are certainly my choice of cocktail and I just cannot turn one down. Despite the size there are quite a lot of E numbers crammed in each one so I imagine you will be bouncing off the walls after a few. To serve it…

Battle of the Festive Sarnie: Sainsbury’s Christmas Day Lunch

So far we have had the Boots Shapers and Waitrose Love Life Sarnies but festive sarnies are not just confined to in-between two bits of bread. Oh no sir bob, Sainsbury’s Christmas Day Lunch has broken the festive sarnie boundaries and given us a Christmas Lunch in a tortilla wrap. Mind blowing I’m sure.  Costing a pretty reasonable £2.20, even the description of this makes it hard to believe they can fit all that into a tortilla wrap. I am all for challenging the conventional however my slight reservation of a store bought filled wrap is they are often exceptionally…

Sainsbury’s Salted Caramel Torte

Pudding, who doesn’t love a good pudding. One of the many wonders is that no matter how full you are, if a pudding presents itself you magical find room for a good wedge. The salted caramel trend seems to be phasing out but there are still a few products that slip onto the Supermarket shelves rather unnoticed, and today’s review is Sainsbury’s Salted Caramel Torte.  A sweet chocolate sponge with vanilla flavoured batter and a salted caramel glaze  Not quite what comes to mind when you think of a torte, but it did look ever so inviting. The chocolate cake isn’t…

Sainsbury’s Gingerbread Ice Cream

Happy Christmas Eve Everyone!! What better way to mark the day before christmas than with Sainsbury’s Gingerbread Ice Cream. I have been like a woman possessed searching for this tub; because frankly Gingerbread Ice Cream is an ice cream I want to get on board with.  I have never really seen Gingerbread as solely a festive foodie flavour and my love for Jamaican Ginger Cake is something I feed throughout the year. Now if Sainsbury’s can morph that into an ice cream, just like Mr Kipling did with their Viennese Whirls, well we will have one happy Nibs ‘n’ Scribs…

Sainsbury’s Salted Peanut and Caramel Ice Cream

The weather is hotting up which means hello ice cream. Previously I reviewed Ben & Jerry’s Utter Peanut Butter Cookie Core which I loved, but am keen to try a Supermarket own one; insert Sainsbury’s Salted Peanut and Caramel Ice Cream.  Jazzy flavour combinations are now a firm part of Supermarket own brand ranges, but can they match or beat the big guns like Ben & Jerry’s or Haagen-Daz? Sainsbury’s Salted Peanut and Caramel ice cream sits alongside their Chocolate Brownie, Cookie Dough and Toffee Honeycomb tubs, but what attracted me to try this? Peanut Butter of course! It’s great to see that…
