Christmas: M&S Viennese Gingerbread Creams

My love for gingerbread continues today in the form of biscuits. Now these aren’t just any gingerbread creams, these are M&S Gingerbread Viennese Creams. After the triumphant Mr Kipling Gingerbread Whirls I do wonder how M&S can top them. Each pack contains 8 viennese creams in sets of two in a plastic tray. In comparison to the exceedingly good Mr Kiplings’, M&S have gone for a far lighter buttered shortbread and spolodges of buttercream filling to avoid the potential for slippage, as well as giving them a far more uniformed appearance. The biscuit itself wasn’t as short as I had expected so… View Post

Christmas: Joe & Seph’s Brandy Butter Popcorn

Yesterday saw Butterkist’s Gingerbread Popcorn and today it’s time for Joe & Seph’s gourmet popcorn. I am not complaining as I love popcorn and catering for all, Joe & Seph’s Brandy Butter Popcorn is one of a number of Christmassy additions that are decking the halls this Christmas. I love Joe & Seph’s for their imaginative popcorn and I am eager to see how brandy works with the perfect snack that is popcorn.  This 80g resealable Handmade in Santa’s Grotto pack was £2.99 from Ocado. It is gluten free, has no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives, and is suitable for vegetarians.  The finest… View Post

Christmas: Butterkist Gingerbread Popcorn

Eeeeew it’s two weeks till Christmas!!! Gingerbread is everywhere this season and I am LOVING it! Finally brands have realised we love the gingerbread and it shouldn’t just be confined to a Jamaican Ginger Cake, although nothing beats said cake! Today is the turn of Butterkist Gingerbread Popcorn. This festive 150g themed bag was a reasonable £1.50 from Ocado. As with pretty much all popcorn it is gluten free, is suitable for vegetarians and has no artificial flavours or colourings, huzzah!  Popcorn coated with a Cinammon & Ginger flavour toffee (67%). Per 100g: 412 kcal, 2.3g sat fat, 50.6g sugar, 2.9g… View Post

Christmas: McDonald’s Chocolatey Banoffee Pie

Happy Fast Food Friday! I will be honest, the only reason I will go to McDonald’s is for the hash browns and the apple pies. My little cupcake who has done a review on the whole festive shebang here, shared some valuable insight that this year they have forgone the fruit pie, and instead McDonald’s Chocolatey Banoffee Pie has come into our lives. Huzzah! This little boxed pie was £1.19, a small price to pay for what I hope is as enjoyable as their apple pies.I feel they could have been a little more festive in the packaging but nonetheless it was… View Post

Montezuma’s Peanut Butter Snowballs

We cannot have a festive eddition without some peanut butter treats. I loved Montezuma’s Easter Peanut Butter Eggs so I was mighty excited to see these Montezuma’s Peanut Butter Snowballs as part of their christmas range.  I love the box and the presentation but I am not enthused by the price. £5.49 for a box is a little pricey to me, especially when on Ocado they are £4.99. The sizing of these was perfect and I like the slightly undone nature where the darker chocolate can slightly be seen through the white chocolate coating. The white chocolate was smooth and oh… View Post
