Hotel Chocolat Rhubarb and Custard Selectors

The Hotel Chocolat wall of Selectors is a joyful place to visit. Whether it’s truffles, alcohol, nutty, fruity, or seasonal, they have you covered. Whilst the Hotel Chocolat Rhubarb and Custard Selectors are not new, they are certainly one that needed trying. Rhubarb and Custard is a classic British flavour and dessert, and definitely on my favourites list. In side these gorgeous hexagonal chocolates sits rhubarb ganache layered with custard flavoured white chocolate, sealed in a milk and white chocolate vanilla seed shell. There is no denying that this is jam packed inside, and you can certainly see the distinct layers. From the first…

Maltesers Orange Buttons

Would you believe it’s well over a year since Maltesers gave us the delicious mint choc buttons? Now it’s time for a newbie and unsurprisingly they have jumped on the chocolate flavour of the moment. Of course it is the Maltesers Orange Buttons. It’s funny how when I reviewed the mint choc buttons I was applauding them for not going with the trend. I get why they did this time around given it has been such a consumer favourite, it is jut a shame they haven’t decided to start their own trend. Available in a variety of sizes, you can…

Limited Edition Yorkie Orange

It seems that not a week goes by without another chocolate orange goodie hitting the shelves.  Whilst it feels like there isn’t anything else that can be made into orange flavouring, the latest is probably the most exciting release for sometime. Of course I am talking about the new Limited Edition Yorkie Orange. Finding these was like the Orange Twirl all over again, all hope was waining until they popped up in the local Londis. You can also find these in Co-Op, Poundland, B&M. With its seriously classic chunky pieces this bar is creamier than other chocolate bars. There is…

McVitie’s Jaffa Jonuts

Newness alert! Going above the usual flavour change, we have instead been given the lovechild of the OG Jaffa Cake and delicious donuts; enter the McVitie’s Jaffa Jonuts. Not just hell bent on the cake or biscuit debate McVitie’s have now thrown donuts (really it’s doughnuts!!) into the mix. The concept is out there and is bound to shake things up. Currently only available in orange, I highly suspect that other flavours will quickly follow. These were in Tesco for £2.00 or £1.50 if you are a club card member. Each box comes with 4 individually wrapped donuts. The wrappers are…

McVitie’s Strawberry Cheesecake Digestives

Flavoured Digestives are not a new thing and since last year we have had an array of them. From Cherry Bakewell to Lemon Drizzle, Marmalade on Toast and Blood Orange, it’s certainly a far cry from the usual chocolate variety. One of the latest additions to join the family is the McVitie’s Strawberry Cheesecake Digestives. Now you may remember that last year they released a Strawberries & Cream version, so why they have chosen Strawberry Cheesecake so soon after is a mystery. In fact this isn’t the first time strawberry cheesecake has featured as they previously did a filled cream version.…
