Flashdance The Musical UK Tour

Flashdance was one of the first theatre shows I ever saw and I remember absolutely LOVING it. It is always risky going to see another touring version because of the fear that it just won’t meet your hopes and expectations, however I simply could not pass the opportunity especially as my bestie had never seen it.  Last night’s show was the opening night at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking. This is one of my favourite venues to go to and they always have a good variety of shows every year.  If you haven’t seen the film here is the…

Bend……. And Snap, Legally Blonde The Musical is Here

Get your Bend…….And Snap ready because Legally Blonde The Musical has landed this week at the New Victoria Theatre, and last night I went to see its opening performance. The US didn’t overly embrace this Broadway show however it was well received here in the UK and it is back on the road again travelling across the length and breadth of the country from Sept 17 through to June 18.  Split into two acts this high octane performance was full of energy, laughs and slapstick humour throughout. Sister Act: A Devine Musical Comedy?

Yesterday evening I took to my seat and watched the new reboot of Sister Act the musical. Sister Act is one of my all time favourite movies ever, I have seen it so many times I cannot help but sit there warbling away and getting into the groove (sorry for anyone who has witnessed this!). Directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood and staring Alexandra Burke, this current touring stage show is based on the hit movie.  A refresher for all, Sister Act centres around Deloris Van Cartier, a sassy disco diva who is forced to go into hiding in a…

Chicago The Musical

As far as musicals go Chicago is first and foremost my favourite. I have already seen it twice, once on tour and once in London both of which I loved, but it is the law that every time it comes to a theatre nearby me and my bestie go and see it. This time around the leading lady was Hayley Tramaddon portraying the play away wife Roxie Hart, with John Partridge as the only lawyer who will get you off of a murder charge, and Jessie Wallace who was Mama Morton. I for one didn’t know any of these were broadway…

The Bodyguard Musical

The Bodyguard Musical has come to Woking and I for one have been so blooming excited to see it that Monday night was finally the night that I got to go! YAY. The stint has ended in London and this romantic thriller has been travelling around the Country and will be back again in London come July.  The Bodyguard really is one of my favourite films, I will go as far as to say Top 3 (don’t judge me). For those of you who have not seen it, crikey I have no idea how you haven’t … the plot is very…
