If you’re a fan of novelty snacks, K‑pop collabs, or anything remotely resembling a pancake in cookie form, the Oreo BTS Brown Sugar Pancake edition is one of those finds that will be for you.
First spotted in Tesco on a clubcard offer for a £1, I have since seen them in Sainsbury’s. The glossy black packaging is certainly different for Oreo, but it does make for a more striking look on the shelves.
Inside reveals a gorgeous purple colour cookie and with the white and maple coloured creme filling these beauties are also double‑stuffed, and honestly, that makes all the difference. The thicker filling finally balances the cookie‑to‑creme ratio in a way standard Oreos never quite manage.
The flavour lands exactly where it promises: brown sugar pancake, which is bizarre. They are pretty sweet, as you would expect, but there is also a hint of caramelisation and maple flavouring, making these incredibly moreish.
I have to say I wasn’t sure what to expect with these Oreo BTS Brown Sugar Pancake, but they check all the boxes. They have certainly redeemed themselves from the Creme Egg version earlier this you. If you spy a some of these pancake cookies on the shelves, grab a pack, you won’t regret it!
