Shredded Wheat Cherry Bakewell

If you are a regular reader you will know I have a particular love for Cherry Bakewell so whilst perusing Ocado for some new cereal I came across Shredded Wheat Cherry Bakewell and got a wee bit giddy. Given my sheer disappointment over Waitrose’s Cherry Bakewell Granola I am hoping that Nestle can pull it out the bag here and deliver.   £2.49 for a 430g box isn’t too shabby. This Cherry Bakewell cereal is high in fibre and whole grain, has no artificial colours or flavours and is suitable for vegetarians. If you have allergies then beware as aside from…

Propercorn Twisted Honeycomb

Put down your crisps because Propercorn Twisted Honeycomb has arrived. I do love this brand, they still make the best Sweet & Salty popcorn going as well as their moreish Crunch Corn, so I am mighty excited about this new flavour.  A while back Propercorn launched the Institute of Flavour and set about finding the nation’s top tastemaker by inviting foodies to come up with flavour combinations. After a tough choice 6 finalists were chosen and after a huge vote from the public, Twisted Honeycomb was crowned champion. As such this flavour is strictly limited edition and here only for…

Müller Corner British Classics

You would be right to think that this is a summer edition however unless I have been blind as a bat these are new to the yoghurt corner, in my Supermarket anyway. Inspired by British desserts Müller Corner British Classics have given us Cherry Bakewell and Eton Mess style yoghurts.  A six pack costs £3.00 and I have seen these in both Sainsbury’s and on Ocado. Made from British milk these are free from artificial flavours, colourings and preservatives, and are suitable for vegetarians.  Cherry Bakewell is certainly becoming more of ‘a thing’. We have had the Cherry Bakewell Scones, Cherry Bakewell…

Crunchie Friday Feeling Cake

Happy Friday! Let’s celebrate the weekend the only way I know how.. with cake! The Crunchie Friday Feeling Cake to be precise. Once upon a time Crunchie did do a birthday cake and it was glorious. Much like the Flake Birthday cake it disappeared, much to my disgust, but has recently made a return. Huzzah. This time around Cadbury have opted for less of the birthday cake angle and more of the cake for any occasion angle. In this instance however I did actually have this as my birthday cake hence my pink candles. I must say I much prefer…

Creighton’s Custard Cream

Over on Instagram I have spied Creighton’s Custard Cream a number of times and have been stalking their website waiting for it to come in stock. It finally did and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity of trying it for myself, as well as a couple of other bars that just happened to have fallen into my basket….  There’s so much choice on their website that doesn’t just stop at snazzy flavoured chocolate but expands to sizes, special editions, truffles, bon bons and lollipops. For a 100g bar it will cost you £3.50 which I think is pretty reasonable for a quirky fun British…
