Battle of the Whips: M&S Walnut Whips vs Mini Salted Caramel Whips

Yes today is a battle, a mighty fine one at that. M&S is the king for traditional Walnut Whips but they haven’t stopped there, oh no, they have added to the family by shrinking them and giving us Mini Salted Caramel Whips.  These M&S Walnut Whips* and Mini Salted Caramel Whips* were part of my very exciting delivery of goodies from Marks and Spencer Food PR, which if you follow on Instagram you would have seen a sneak peak! It was pretty hard to decide which to tuck into first, but the salted caramel won me over. Milk chocolate filled with…

M&S Passion Fruit Swiss Roll

We haven’t had a good dessert in a while so let’s see if we can change things with today’s review of M&S Passion Fruit Swiss Roll. Throwing tradition out of the window M&S have replaced jam with passion fruit but is it a smart move?  I love a M&S Dine in Two for £10, it’s a darn good deal and above all there is always some delicious food on offer. It was really nice to see that the latest one didn’t just have the usual choice of profiteroles and cheesecake, but also included something a bit more summery and a little different. …

M&S Chunky Peanut Butter Chocolates

I take no credit for this find as I hadn’t the foggiest that these M&S Chunky Peanut Butter Chocolates even existed. My mum is the one who found this bright yellow box of delights in M&S last week, and I for one am happy that they have continued to embrace peanut butter.  Designed to be a little gift to someone I sadly do not know how much these were. What I do know is that these individually wrapped milk chocolates are filled with layers of soft chocolate fudge,  salted peanuts and peanut butter. Sounds wonderful doesn’t it! Per 100g: 514 kcal, 11.7g…

Christmas: M&S Gingerbread Teacakes

Last week saw the Battle of the Festive Sarnies and this week sees all things festive continue and it is only right we start with the first Christmas good I purchased. Yes, I have braved the new M&S Gingerbread Teacakes. Their Red Velvet and Dulce de Leche ones were less than desirable in taste and didn’t exactly do well on conveying what they were meant to be; so you can imagine my apprehension here with these Gingerbread Teacakes.  Now the reason I hop-footed it down to M&S when I heard these had hit the shelves was purely my love of gingerbread.…

M&S Gingerbread Teacakes

Gingerbread is not just for Christmas in my eyes however as the Winter months beckon closer gingerbread foods emerge and I start to go into a gingerbread frenzy. (For anyone who loved the Mr Kipling Gingerbread Whirls they are back and in store now huzzah!) Today’s review is on the air of savoury gingerbread with M&S Gingerbread Teacakes.  I am not sure if these were available last year but I am pretty sure I would have sniffed them out if it were the case. A pack of two generously sized teacakes were £1.00 which isn’t too shabby at all. I love both teacakes…
