Creighton’s Custard Cream

Over on Instagram I have spied Creighton’s Custard Cream a number of times and have been stalking their website waiting for it to come in stock. It finally did and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity of trying it for myself, as well as a couple of other bars that just happened to have fallen into my basket….  There’s so much choice on their website that doesn’t just stop at snazzy flavoured chocolate but expands to sizes, special editions, truffles, bon bons and lollipops. For a 100g bar it will cost you £3.50 which I think is pretty reasonable for a quirky fun British…

Reese’s Sugar Free Peanut Butter Cups

Okay so I have been umming and arrring over whether to buy these Reese’s Sugar Free Peanut Butter Cups for sometime now. Curiosity obviously got the better of me because here we are with sugar free peanut butter cup in hand with the verdict on whether it compares to a standard Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, or should be launched into the abyss.  Notice that these clearly state not a low calorie food. I do love how it is brandished on the front and then repeatedly on the inner wrappings just in case. Although these are sugar free they have been packed…

Sponge Baby Sponges

I have been a follower of Sponge for a while but never actually had a Sponge myself. I have sent a couple of Baby Sponges to others for birthday’s, I think they are a pretty nifty idea and I have always got good feedback. Whilst at the Cake & Bake Show the other month I was delighted to see Sponge had a stall and I couldn’t help but buy some.   Split between Traditional, Quirky, Stars & Gluten Free, Sponge have quite an array of flavours on offer ranging from Victoria to Apple Crumble to Rocky Road and a Seasonal Special. Each…

It’s Friday and it’s Happy Peanut Butter Lovers Month! What better way to kick off Friday than with, yes you guessed it, a peanut butter treat! Now then ever since Jude’s did a strictly limited edition peanut butter number that you could only get your hands on if you won a competition, I have been praying that they would release one similar. Low and behold my prayers have been answered, say hello to Jude’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Ripple.  Let’s face it anything peanut buttery is going to have the taste buds going and this is no exception. I finally found…

Cadbury Dinky Deckers

With a name like Dinky Deckers I just couldn’t not try them. Dinky Deckers join a few other mini chocolatey treats on offer including Snickers Bites which I absolutely loved. I have heard mixed reviews on these bites so let’s see which way the scales sway.  Again I picked these up in Waitrose for £1.99 for a 120g pouch. These are slightly less in weight to the Snickers Bites. I am intrigued as to why Cadbury’s decided to miniaturise the Double Decker as I don’t really see it as a popular chocolate bar.  Milk chocolates with smooth, chewy nougat and…
