Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cream Egg

The viral Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cream Egg has hit shelves and is taking on the Creme Egg head on. Yes Easter has been taking over the supermarket aisles since Christmas but I think we can safely say we are now all here for it. Each egg retails for 70p each and some stores are offering 2 for £1.20. These have been spotted in Co-Op, B&M, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons. They smell exactly like the OG and are not particularly sealed well so are easy to split in half to reveal the fluorescent orange filling. The chocolate it think and creamy…

Maltesers Popcorn Bunny

This is the chocolate Easter treat you didn’t know you needed until now. Fusing two of my favourites, chocolate and popcorn, Mars Inc have given us the Maltesers Popcorn Bunny. Currently in all major supermarkets these are 65p each with some stores doing a deal if you buy multiple. Hint buy more you won’t regret it. Alternatively you can also purchase these in mini bunny form. Each chunky bunny is made from milk chocolate and filled with a popcorn flavoured malt filling (35%) and corn crumble pieces (2.2%). I confess when I purchased these I wasn’t holding my breath but…

Battle of the Gingerbread Biscuits

It’s a trio of snacks here today all sporting the Christmas theme. Yes it is time for the battle of the gingerbread biscuits and our contenders are McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Digestives, Oreo and Sainsbury’s Custard Creams. Gingerbread certainly seems to be the flavour of Christmas this year and I am here for it. I managed to get all three in Sainsbury’s and the prices ranged from 65p – £1.90. The Oreo Gingerbread were the worst of all and the only good thing going for them is the cute little gingerbread design on the front of the biscuit. They have a…

Sainsbury’s Bourbon Twists Black Forest

Sainsbury’s have been firing out the twist in the classic custard creams, but for this Christmas they have also given us the Bourbon Twists Black Forest edition. Bourbon to me is an underrated biscuit. I love them and it reminds me of my Grandad, although I am sure he would have a few choice words to say about messing with a Bourbon! For 65p a pack you cannot go wrong. These chocolate sandwich biscuits are filled with black cherry flavour cream filling and the fruity cherry aroma can be smelt the minute you open the packet. Isn’t it nice to…

M&S Caramelised Biscuit Sticky Buns

New desserts have literally exploded onto the autumn scenes and we are all here for it. The one I really was the most eager to try was the M&S Caramelised Biscuit Sticky Buns. Available in stores these 4 soft buns are filled with a spiced cinnamon paste, with a lightly spiced caramel sauce and are topped with caramelised spiced biscuits pieces and a sweet dusting. Surely it’s dessert heaven in a pot! Simple to bake in the oven, these take only 12 minutes before you have molten gooey caramel goodness. The dough is light and fluffy and baked to perfection.…
