Goupie Original and Cherry & Almond

Having never come across Goupie or even heard of them you, you could say I am a Goupie virgin. A few weeks ago these geometric style printed boxes came through my door after the lovely Grace from Goupie kindly sent me some to try.  Based on a genuine family recipe there are plenty of flavours on offer from your standard Orange, Mint, Ginger and Hazelnut, to your more eccentric Dark or White Chocolate Lavender and Cardamon and White Chocolate. I for one chose two of their other flavours – Original*, because nothing beats the natural form, and Cherry & Almond*, because my…

Cadbury Dairy Milk Black Forest

A good bar of chocolate is certainly one of my weaknesses and today is another example of UK Dairy Milk not being up to scratch. You may recall the Tropical Cadbury from New Zealand that I reviewed a little while back, and now we have another classic from both New Zealand and Australia, Cadbury Dairy Milk Black Forest.  Also available in a 200g slab this little 45g bar cost me a cheerful £1.80. I do love a flavoured chocolate bar and Black Forest does excite me a little. Opening up the packet led to a sweet cherry smell filling the air…

KitKat Peanut Butter Bites

This month has seen it’s fair share of new peanut butter products which means so far this is the best month ever! First off we had the scrumptious Kellogg’s Peanut Butter Clusters, then the questionable Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo Peanut Butter and now it is Nestle’s turn with KitKat Peanut Butter Bites. Tim Tam Strawberry Champagne

I have never had the pleasure of having Tim Tam’s but I have heard wonderful things from my Aussie friends and as soon as I saw these I knew I had to have them. Apparently 669 million Tim Tam’s are eaten every year in Australia, now that is a lot of Tim Tam’s and goes to show they must be good. Fresh sweet strawberry combined with the crisp yet velvety flavour of champagne, coated in Arnott’s famous milk chocolate. These Tim Tam Strawberry Champagne numbers were part of the limited edition mocktail collection and sat along with Pina Colada, Espresso Martini…

Cadbury Dairy Milk Mint Oreo

Happy Valentine’s Day! Nothing says love like chocolate so naturally that is the theme today. Yesterday saw the new Cadbury Dairy Milk Peanut Butter Oreo bar which didn’t exactly fair well, but today is a new day and its compadre Cadbury Dairy Milk Mint Oreo is here.  I am not usually a mint chocolate fan unless it’s those After Eight Sticks they did, they were glorious. However as I was pretty impressed with the Oreo Mint Cookies and I thought this bar was worth a shot. Costing a joyful £1.00 for a 120g bar, I found this in Sainsbury’s no less.  Milk chocolate…
