Milka and Cadbury Dairy Milk have a few cross over flavours, which is pretty much expected given they are all part of one giant company. It is pretty clear by now that Milka chocolate trumps the UK Cadbury Dairy Milk. It won the battle of the Milka Oreo vs Dairy Milk Oreo but the battle isn’t over, oh no, today we have the battle of Milka & Chips Ahoy! vs the previously reviewed Dairy Milk with Chips Ahoy!
Alpine milk chocolate with biscuits and chocolate pieces (12%) and Alpine milk cream filling (39%).
In comparison to the Cadbury version, the Milka squares are larger and flatter thus giving it a more even combination of the two elements. As expected the milk chocolate was thick, creamy, melt in the mouth deliciousness, and more like the quality you expect from a chocolate bar. The thick cream sandwiched between the chocolate was an odd grainy texture, incredibly sweet and there wasn’t a chocolate piece in sight. Aside from the tiny crunchy pieces within the cream I also couldn’t distinguish Chips Ahoy! in the slightest. In fact there really wasn’t any flavour to it at all; what is this monstrosity?
I never thought I would say this but Dairy Milk with Chips Ahoy! is the winner. Milka & Chips Ahoy! although has the better chocolate and ratio of the two components, the filling completely ruins it and is just too sickly sweet. Now if we could amalgamate the Milka Chocolate with the filling from the Dairy Milk that would give you one superior bar.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
